Depth bands here mark the shallow band the reserve's mapped species actually occupy (3–17 m for eight of nine; the giant green anemone at 0–10 m), not an evenly spaced ruler. Vertical scale is non-linear: the top 20 m of water is shown at full scale and everything below is compressed — this frame is a shallow nearshore shelf, not a lagoon-to-trench site, so the compression is mild. Seafloor provenance: 99.5% of the home frame and 98.2% of the closer view come from GMRT's high-resolution multibeam soundings — almost none of this is interpolated fill. Depths are relative to approximately mean sea level with no tidal reduction, so the waterline on a shallow flat is datum-dependent.

Current is the ~25 km geostrophic field from altimetry — the regional set. It does not resolve the nearshore tidal flow a diver actually feels over a 3 km² reef, and absence of a vessel AIS track is not absence of fishing: small boats do not carry AIS.
